Karva Chauth is a popular one-day Indian festival that is dedicated with honor to the Hindu God Shiva along with Goddess Parvati. Karwa Chauth got its origin from the time of Mahabharata. It is celebrated on the 4th day of Karthik month. Karvachauth's date generally falls in October as it is the Hindu month of God, Kartika. This year, 2020, Karwa Chauth is on 3rd November. It is celebrated during Krishna Paksha Chaturthi. Karwa Chauth is more prevalent in the Northern part of India. Although it is merely the name of the month that varies, otherwise, it is celebrated on the same day in almost all Indian states.
